Getting started4
How does Migrate Armenia work?
You tell us about your plans in a free consultation. We recommend the best route, give you a clear quote and then handle the paperwork — company, residence, bank and housing — while keeping you updated at every step.
Copy linkIs the first consultation really free?
Yes. The first consultation by WhatsApp, Telegram, phone or the contact form is free and without obligation.
Copy linkDo you require prepayment?
No prepayment is required to open your case. The final settlement for company registration is due after your company has been registered.
Copy linkDo I have to come to Yerevan?
Many steps can be done remotely. You usually need to be in Armenia for the bank visit and the biometric appointment for your residence card. We plan your trip so you need as few visits as possible.

Can a foreigner own a company in Armenia?
Yes. Foreigners can own 100% of an Armenian LLC, and there is no nationality restriction for directors.
Copy linkHow long does company registration take?
The State Register must process an application within two working days. In practice, registration usually takes one to three business days once the documents are ready.
Copy linkDoes registering a company give me a residence permit?
A company can be the ground for a business-based temporary residence permit, but you must apply separately and meet the thresholds — for example, a contribution to charter capital of at least AMD 2,000,000 — and the company must actually operate.
Copy linkWhat do I need to register a company?
Usually a passport copy of each founder and the director, two or three name options, a short description of the business and the shareholding. We send you the exact checklist.

How much does a residence permit cost?
From 1 November 2026, the state duty is AMD 150,000 for temporary residence (up to one year) and AMD 250,000 for permanent residence (five years), plus a card charge. The duty is not refunded if the application is refused.
Copy linkCan I apply for residence online?
Yes. From 1 November 2026 all residence permit applications are submitted online through the unified electronic platform. Biometric data is collected in person in Armenia.
Copy linkWhen can I get permanent residence?
On the family and entrepreneurial grounds you need at least three years of temporary residence within the preceding five years. People of Armenian ethnicity can apply directly.
Copy linkCan my family get residence too?
Yes. Your spouse and children can usually apply on the basis of your status. We file the applications together in the Residency Package.
Copy linkWhat is the 183-day rule?
Under the new rules, absences from Armenia longer than 183 days must be reported within 10 days. We remind you of every obligation so your status stays valid.

Can I open a bank account remotely?
Usually not. Non-residents generally need to visit the bank in person. We prepare your documents in advance so one visit is enough — and we come with you.
Copy linkWhat taxes will my company pay?
It depends on the regime: micro-business (0% on turnover up to AMD 24 million), turnover tax (activity-based rates up to AMD 115 million turnover) or the general regime (18% profit tax and 20% VAT). Dividends are taxed at 5%.

Armenian banks usually offer accounts in AMD, USD and EUR, often with other currencies as well.
